2 band Volunteer Enfield Muzzle loader.
.577 caliber
Round blued plain sighted barrel 32″ long - 5 groove. Proof marks at breech end. Regulation sights and plain tang. Flat bordered lock with crown and “1866/ TOWER”. Cleaning rod and full length walnut stock. Blued butt plate with “2″ on top tang. Sling swivels.
CONDITION: Generally very good for its age. Lock - crisp - 2 position. Light pitting over hammer and barrel but the remainder clear of corrosion. Re-blued all over - possibly contemporary. Woodwork in very good condition no cartouches, very few scratches and dings. Some vice or grip marks near the breech.
